Joseph Vumbaco's love for the art of photography started in his junior year of high school, spending whatever free time he had in the darkroom. Since then Joseph has continued to grow as a photographer, both in film and digital. In May of 2012 he graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelors Degree in Studio Art and a Concentration in Photography. In 2010 he studied abroad at Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, France. Joseph has attended the New York Institute of Photography as well as the Creative Arts Workshop in Connecticut.​ Joseph is also an active member of RAW:Natural Born Artists. Since 2016, he has been a part of Design on a Dime, the largest charity event in New York City. In 2019, Joseph published his first coffee table book All Day I Dream About Pizza, showcasing the best of NYC's pizza and men. As of 2020, Joseph has had his photography published in a variety of magazines including, HUF and the cover of DNA Magazine. He is also a brand photographer for JJ. Malibu.
